Contacting regional admissions councilor?

Hi all! So I know that Harvard definitely doesn’t track demonstrated interest, but I was wondering if it would make a difference if students reach out to their regional admissions councilor? A friend told me that an admissions councilor is more likely to put in a “fight” for your application if they can match a familiar personality to your file. Is this at all true? I don’t really know what types of questions I would include in the email since Harvard is so wonderful about putting all the needed information on their website and also you can pretty much find out anything through student blogs on their website. So just wondering, would it be weird to just send in a hello to the regional admissions councilor? I know they can have a lot on their plates so I wouldn’t want to add anything unnecessary to their amount of work in the upcoming admissions season. Really would appreciate all and any insight on this topic. Thanks everyone!

Harvard does not publish the names or email addresses of their Admissions Directors because they don’t want applicants contacting them with “friendly getting-to-know-me” emails.

Don’t. Please don’t.
Even if you can get their name and email address, (which I was able to do),
I thought about it, and it is not a good idea.
They have too many other things to worry about.
If you and your application are competitive enough, don’t worry, you will earn your spot regardless.
Once you are admitted, then please, feel free to get in contact with your admissions officer. That would be kind of cool actually.
