Yeah but the ACT science section is basically just critical thinking and the ability to interpret graphs and charts, not actually knowing much about science.

Honestly I forgot that it is the ACT that has the science and not the SAT. Lol. I hated the SAT... it's so effing long.

how does a school have only 16 students? that would mean you would only have like one teacher, maybe two teachers, how would they be able to adequately teach the breadth of a full 4 year highschool curriculum. Furthermore all students in all grades would have to be in the same class at the same time since there would be only one teacher, or maybe freshmen with sophomores and juniors with seniors if there were two teachers.

mj: because we know you're not like that.
prism: i'm graduating in a class of 14. Tiny int'l school that has ~300 students from Pre-K to 12th grade - don't you think that i have wondered about it too? well, for high school, there are 3 science teachers that teach grades 7-12. so a typical schedule for one of those teachers could be 90 minutes of grade 7 life science, 90 minutes of grade 9 biology, lunch, 90 minutes of 'prep time,' and 90 minutes of IB Math. something like that.

that is the problem with my school - don't you think I'd like better? I don't really have much of a choice. There are also only 2 int'l schools in my area, I go to the better one.

Just to put things in perspective, these are the mean SAT scores from my daughter's rural/subruban high school in NYS:

516 (CR), 523 (M) and 490 (W)

And these scores reflect the 45% of the students who will be going to a 4-year college. The majority of the kids in her school go to community college, into the military or to work.

GPA:2.64 just got it today not sure if it is UW/ W
Rank: top 50% since last checked , but probably increased since I just received my reportcard
