Continued Dissatisfaction with UChicago Administration

Perhaps it's UChicago's tradition as a research university (where faculty and superstar graduate students are probably the school's crown jewel) that makes the orientation feel this way? Certainly as opposed to very student-centric places like a top LAC, UChicago admin's decisions have been suspect, of late, and as recounted in the above two articles.

The editorials are remarkably balanced, well written and reasoned, especially when you consider that these are students whose main jobs are not writing editorials. So I say kudos to the students who put these columns together.

Aside from that, I hope that the administration will respond to the concerns raised in the editorials in an equally constructive (and prompt) fashion.
