Converting GPA from 100 to 4.0 scale

My school gives our GPA on a 100 point scale. But the scholarship i'm applying for asks for my GPA on a 4.0 scale.

I was converting all my grades, but what do I do for my senior year? I did not receive my final averages from my classes yet; I only have grades from the first 3 quarters.

At my public high school, you are given a grade out of 100 that is then calculated as a GPA on this scale:
90-100: 4.0
80-89: 3.0
75-79: 2.0
70-75: 1.0

I’m not sure if this applies anywhere else, but I thought I would throw it out there.

Can you please actually read my question? I said what do I do for my senior year? I did not receive my final averages from my classes yet; I only have grades from the first 3 quarters.

Take the first 3 quarters and average them out for an estimate…although don’t you have a pretty good idea of what you were going to receive for 4th? If so, use that and figure it out…

At our school 93 to 100 is the A and A- range and is pretty standard…

A = 4.00 97 - 100
A- = 3.70 93 - 96
B+ = 3.30 89-92
B = 3.00 85-88
B- = 2.70 81-84
C+ = 2.30 77-80
C = 2.00 73-76
C- = l.70 69-72

My high school was different.

90%s were As
80%s were Bs
70%s were Cs
60%s were Ds
50%s and below were Fs

Then the
+s were from x7-x9
-s were from x0-x3

An A average was a 4.0
An A- average was a 3.6
A B+ average was a 3.3
A B average was a 3.0
etc.

As you can see it depends.

My transcript shows what the conversion is, so universities can figure it out themselves if they need to. You should ask your school, if you are not sure how to convert.
