Cool opportunity for my D!

The first 3 performances have gone off without a hitch! NO protestors, AND no media! They performed a matinee Friday and invited various schools throughout the district. It was very interesting to observe the reactions from the kids from very different scio-economic backgrounds. I think it really opened the eyes of a lot of these children and made prejudice real for many of them. AAAHH, the power of theatre! Last performance is tonight.

And oh btw, "I" think my D did a great job! :D

Great to hear the show went well, NanE. Just curious: were you expecting protesters? From the fact that you say that, I am getting that, in your area, staging "Mockingbird" is controversial. I am guessing: is it the language of the play that makes it so?

I'm so pleased that all is going well and that maybe this will "open some eyes" in your community. I'm sure your daughter was wonderful- by the way, how does she feel about being a part of all of this?
