What was the coolest item/post box letter/email that a college has sent you?
My person favorites were a frisbee from Carleton and a cool letter from UChicago that has my very uncommon name printed in this gothic, UChicago-esque style of writing.
The coolest spam mail I’ve received so far were three coasters from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. :-< Why? I’ve never met someone who uses coasters outside of a restaurant. Who thinks teenagers would enjoy that?!
I don’t remember the college (I get a letter almost every day and have since 10th grade-it’s very annoying) a puzzle with foam pieces. I put them a plastic sandwich bag and gave it to my sisters. Don’t know what happened after that.
Harvey Mudd’s letter had one of those holographic thingies for a cover.
Yale sent a beautiful “book” style promotion piece that I enjoyed so much it made ME want to go to Yale. 
How do you guys get items sent to you?!
I got this one gigantic poster from Duke University that looks nice so I put it up on my wall.
I also got this cool puzzle from Notre Dame (never had time to complete it though, oh well).
What? There is no cool college spam. The more I get, the less likely I will apply to that college. The extent of UChicago’s and Wustl’s hardcore spamming blows my brains out.
@AtharvaLarva Ehh if a college sends me something really unique and cool, then I actually become interested in that school haha. The ones that send me regular college mail and email I tend to ignore.

@cocolover123 I think from PSAT testing when you check the “receive mail from potential colleges” form. Others from naviance or other awards you have received.
@AtharvaLarva Haha yes I know its all marketing ploy, but I just thought it was still cool what some colleges sent and thought it’d be cool to see what cool stuff other cool CCers were getting as well!

I forget what college this letter was from (I think an Ohio university) but it said “Now Starring: Nina”. (My name)
Another one had my name written in clouds, haha.
@cocolover123 I’ve never subscribed to get these items sent to me. After joining sites like colleges.niche or scholarship sites, I started to receive TONS of them.

I forget who it was from but I got one that was a parody on all the other college letters, it was pretty funny.
@snowfairy137 my friend got one from some random college. and the whole email was telling her to leave the college application in God’s hands. and other religious stuff
