Hi, first off let me give you a brief information about my situation.
I live outside the US and have completed my application for Cooper Union
Made sure everything got there on time and have a US address (they require a US mailing address). However, i havent recieved a confirmation mail for whether my application and portfolio has reached them or not. I called Cooper Union for a response but the rude admission lady said, "it's probably here," and hung up. It's funny how she didnt even go through my account and just threw me that set of words.

Im a pretty patient person but now this is making me anxious, I just need a word of advice.
I was not rude to her at all and i tend to choose my words carefully when i speak to people.

Any other CU applicants out there? I was just wondreing if they never actually notified anyone at all..

Hello, they didn’t notified me also, i had to called and asked the rude lady about my hometest, she confirmed me that they had it. The first time I called, she hung up on me.

Yeah. I applied (rejected ED) and found that emailing them was the most effective way to communicate. I called once, and the lady was rude, emailed probably two or three times, and they were very nice. Good luck!

My friend was deferred ED and called to request her sketchbook back for our IB art exam–and experienced the wrath of this same crabby woman. She seriously needs a back massage.

There are three movies that all should see before coming to stay in NYC: Midnight Cowboy (1969), The Out-Of-Towners (1970), and Escape from New York (1981). After viewing those, all of which have a bent of truth about them on NYC, you will understand that what happened to you is not considered rude in NYC.

Thanks for the response, I just sent in the email…
By the way good luck to all applicants to all schools.
And I give extra luck to Cooper U. applicants…I think we really need it lol

i was born and raised for a while and returned recently to live in new york city for the past 4 years, i know what it’s like in new york city but, I can’t really explain the situation in this case. I mean to say, she was really really rude the day I called her.

It pretty much went something like this:
Me: Good morning.
LADY: what do you want
Me: I would like to know if all my material had arrived and been updated…
(and I was about to give her my name and social)
LADY: (cutting me off) its probably here. (hung up)

but drusba thank you for the movie list i’ll look into it.
