Cooper Union Might Charge Tuition?!?!?!

<p>Per WSJ, Cooper has budget deficit of 16.5 million this year, and has been dipping into the principle of their endowment in recent years (rather than only using earning from the principle). Dr. Bharucha is correct in saying that the current financial structure of the institution is unsustainable. Charging tuition is an option being considered to offset the growing budget deficit.</p>

<p>This is interesting. Ive always wondered how people might evaluate cooper in comparison to ther art schools if the cost was the same.
Of course, enrollment will probably jump up quite a bit if they do start charging money. If they dont, then enrollment would probably shrink even more than iot already is, to offset the deficit.</p>
