Coping

Haha. It very well could be “gus”… it’s funny how things sound in your head.

@gusmom2000 - concussions can be tough. I have had a few friends with kids dealing with this in the past year. Some recovery is faster than others - rest can be really hard for HS kids! (I read it as gus mom, not gu’s mom too). Glad to hear the school is communicating with you.

Virtual hugs to @gusmom2000 and gus. We went through a slew of sports injuries over the 4 years, and the only thing worse than the injury was how each time, afterwards, it made me more of a nervous wreck every time they played! In fact, I don’t have to know the team or the player to freak out when a kid gets hurt during a televised football game at this point! Hope all of you are recovering!

@gusmom2000 - Speedy recovery wishes going out to G. and lots of hugs going out to you. I am glad the school is communicating well and frequently with you.

Amen to the no more football, and I hope he is back to his normal self very soon.

@gusmom2000 I am so sorry to hear that. Hope he is fully recovered soon. I never liked American football for the frequent injuries.

@gusmom2000 I hope your little Gus is better soon!!

So sorry to hear about the injury. Hope his recovery is smooth and fast. @gusmom2000

S’s friend had concussions and lascerated spleen so quit football but then played rugby. I don’t know if that is any safer. :open_mouth: [-(
