COPYCAT THREAD: 680 on chem SAT and majoring in chem.

Hey, I just saw another thread, and it really has gotten me worried. I got a 680 on the Chem SAT, which probably hurts me greatly for somewhere like Boston College. However, last year, I was accepted in Wesleyan University's High School Scholars porgram which allowed me to take a class there. I took "Principles of Chem I" and will be taking "Principles of Chem II." These are the standard Wesleyan freshman classes for chemistry; it isn't the basic class. So I took this class and received a flat A which, judging from the curves the professor shown us, would be a top 20 grade out of a class of 200. Will this success at Wesleyan, one of the best schools in the country, offset my poor SAT score for a place like Boston College?

Also, WU is obviously on break right now. BC's deadline was today. If I call WU on Monday to have them send out my WU transcript, BC will consider this right? This is similar to mid-year reports right? Most semesters don't end until mid January, so they do not read apps before they receive the mid-year report right? I am freaking out because if my colleges don't get WU's transcript in time, I'm in big trouble.

The chem SAT is a joke....

This isn't from a bitter student, I got an 800... but that test has less to do with chemistry and more to do with test taking skills.

The True/False, Correct Explanation questions are like freakin riddles... I truly believe that they are wrong in putting many of those questions on... they could be argued either way (ie... the explanation explains PART of the answer)... This was collegeboard's final straw for me... I have no respect for them as an organization (yet I still believe in the value of a standardized test)

I didn't really like the SAT II Chem. I got a 5 on the AP exam, but I found that the SAT II was really tricky and difficult. It took me so long to master the actual test.

I am not greatest chem student, but have to take SATII. Good at math…taking Differential Calc now…summer program. I will be senior and had the Chem. in sophomore year. I need to figure out best Chemistry Prep book and possibly more… I need to learn the types of questions/test setup and probably will do okay. Also a good reader, so possibly will do more htan 1 book. (32 ACT score; 34 in math and 36 reading and 29 science)…
