yup. CALS, Stern, and Marshall. what made you decide not to apply? i know you 'withdrew' from the columbia running as well.

eserrur, are you a cuny honors student by any chance?

haha uh yeah I visited Columbia and liked it but there were enough negatives, including the 5% acceptance rate for last year's transfers, to make me not waste my time.

I don't want to apply to Cornell because I am trying to keep from majoring in business; CALS AEM was tough enough to get into - CAS is another school that I don't really see as worth my time, especially when my #1 choice (Wes) has a considerably higher acceptance rate and probably a weaker applicant pool.

i just realized something. how much difference does it make if your highest SAT scores were taken from one sitting? because mine were, and i was wondering if this gave someone like me some sort of an advantage.

Well, it's always better to see a high score from one sitting, but I wouldn't count on it having a large impact on your decision.

Who cares about SATs when you have college GPA? SAT is only an approximation of how well you'll do in college, your college GPA IS THE measure of how well you ARE doing in college.

i've only been in college for one semester.

Newby - if colleges didn't care about the SAT at all, they wouldn't request them at all. It depends on where the applicant is transferring from: obviously someone from Georgetown or Emory will have far less to prove than someone from UofH or a community college.

^agreed, when i said that i was only thinking of sophomore transfers... oops lol

if its your top choice, surely this wouldn't be too hard.

Oh, I'm not complaining. I just sent off my app a few minutes ago. But I'm not as worried about getting into Cornell seeing as how I have already been accepted into a good school.
