Hey,
I was browsing the prices for Cornell Abroad for some colleges in the UK and saw that they estimated cost of attendence to be like 45-50000/year...which for my budget is nutz.

I'm one of those middle class people who aren't recieving much aid as it is...so I'm wondering, is financial aid given to CU abroad students? And is that aid actually sufficient/realistic? Can a student do abroad and end up paying the same/only a little over what normal attendance costs?

haha...i actually thought some of those study abroad options cost less than the yearly tuition...and i read, on one of those sites, that FA does apply!

“Can I use my Cornell financial aid for study abroad?
Yes. Financial aid travels anywhere for study abroad approved by your Cornell undergraduate college and faculty advisor for any program or university to which you apply through Cornell Abroad and complete with grades equivalent to a Cornell "C" or better. Financial aid for study abroad is need based, consistent with university and government policies and covers all costs relevant to study abroad, including the Cornell Abroad Tuition or the Cornell International Program Tuition, tuition overseas, housing and meals, books, personal expenses, and round trip airfare.
If you are currently receiving financial aid, your financial aid package will be adjusted based on your Cornell Abroad Estimated Student Budget which is forwarded to Cornell's Financial Aid and Student Employment Office. University grant aid and loan awards are increased or decreased to meet study abroad need.”
