Hello guys, I am a Chinese student applying for financial aid. I haven't received my package yet, but I kinda worry about whether Cornell will meet my entire financial need (as defined by "cost minus EFC"). Could anyone please tell me?

Congrats DerekChiang. I’m international student as well and they said they won’t give financial aid to me which is no more Cornell for me =.=

I haven’t got financial aid yet, actually. I am put on a “financial aid waiting list.”

i applied ED and i’m an international. Cornell met my full need nd believe me, it was generous.

I just received my financial aid offer today. It was really generous and I am so grateful. Cornell will cover 80% of my total costs AND provide a 3,000$ loan. I will have to earn 2,000$ through on-campus work, and my family must contribute 10,000$. I cannot believe how generous they are!

The letter said that the award was offered on the basis of financial need, outstanding academic achievement and recognition of potential to make a significant contribution to the Cornell community.

I honestly thought it wasn’t possible to apply for need based financial aid as an international student, so now I feel like a bit of a fool. It isn’t still possible, is it?

solastalgia, your best option ATM is to contact the Financial Aid office.

@sheroze1123 & MMMM93 r u guys all international freshman?? I guess they give FA to freshman only…I’m a transfer anw :(

i’m a freshman. transfers don’t get aid? or is it limited as well?

Hey guys - I am an int. transfer - are any of you transfers? Did you get aid? How much does your family make?

Can you guys post your stats and your nationality as Cornell giving generous FA to international students is surprising and it will be helpful for me as I will be applying to Cornell in fall 2013

I’m an ED international and Cornell gave 64% of the total stuff. Pretty generous for me aii…

Does anyone know the number of international students who got FA in Cornell? And can anyone post a list, if there is one?

I’m pretty sure it was 73 last year.

Have 2017 accepted received the financial aid packages?

Can someone tell when Cornell gives out its financial aid news?
Does it post the details to even intls?

I am an Indian, admitted to College of Arts and Sciences.
