I'm not sure where i should go. Cornell has the prestige, is cheaper since i live in ny, it has an extenisve alumni network, im already in the business school and it's an IVY LEAGUE! UVA though i feel has a better looking campus, in a better area, better athletics, the commerce school is ranked right behind upenn, and is a change of pace from the east coast. I don't know if i can really afford both schools until i see what financail aid, if any, i recieve. Can some one give some opinions?

lol u seem confused. First when u described Cornell I was like ooo ok he really wants to go here. Then I read wat u said about VA and I was like oooh hmmmm lol. I'd visit both if u can (accepted student days?)! Fit is a very important thing! Cornell has more prestige but if ur not happy there it's not worth it! GL and Congrats on getting into both schools!

UVA! My daughter was in AEM and transferred to UVA because she just wasnt having a good time at Cornell. They are not that different in academics and UVA more than shadows Cornell in sports/location.

Go with AEM... Cornell is more prestigious and a better deal. If you go to UVA, you'll feel bad when you will see that the acceptance rate for AEM was less than 10% this year and you turned it down. You should really feel lucky if you got into AEM. UVA is good too, but I still think Cornell is the way to go. Also, Cornell's campus really is one of the most beautiful.

About athletics... UVA really isnt that good. Yeah neither is Cornell, but Cornell is doing much better in basketball now, is number 1 in the nation at lax, and has amazing hockey...

Go to Cornell AEM, there are many good professors and I've learned a lot taking some of the AEM courses. And Cornell has more diversified range of academic courses and extracurricular activities. I can't voice an opinion of UVA because I don't know what its like there, but from my sophomore transfer friend who came to Cornell and didn't like UVA just because it was very uniform (people, personality). I would just continue to research both schools and visit them (*i feel is the most important part).

thanx for the replies. well im going to the diversity weekends for both schools in the upcoming weeks so im going to use that time to see if i fit at any of the two schools
