Has anybody on CC tranferred or heard of someone transferring to Cornell from an average or barely above average school? If so let me know tell their school and some stats. Im just trying to get an idea of what my chances may look like in the future. Thanks

My sister went to PCC for two years (Pasadena City College) and she got top marks, and was eventually accepted by Cornell. :) I'd say chances are good as long as you show them you can excel, even if it is in community college.

Cornell has no problem accepting community college students as long as they dont take fluff classes and challenge themselves. The rest comes down to GPA, high school record, SATs, and very important for Cornell are essays and recs.

You know that guy Nathan wassisname who stabbed a black Union College student and got jailed? Well, he transferred to Cornell from a state uni in MD. He had a GPA of 3.9, not too bad huh? Check out the Cornell board; chances are the thread about him is still there.
