Is the GPA 3.8 in a #30 LAC regarded higher than in a #60 LAC? or equal?(both in NYS)

Just guessing, but I do not think it much matters. What matters more is probably how you did in required course prerequisites. Like for CALS did you do well in biology class.

Hopefully, someone with more knowledge/experience can give you a better answer.

Did anyone else have their application status updated?

Hey, something miserably funny, I sent an email asking about some documents and when to expect a decision, and they answered that they did not know but maybe I could be hearing back by June 1st!!!!!, I do not know if that was a mistake, or if I am already on a waitlist (I guess), but this does not look good; I feel like a jerk checking that page every minute.

fri3nds04, and everyone from ewngineering, now I definitely think you should give a call, because you are applying to the same school and maybe they have different news for you.
Good luck with that!

Thank you intTrf10 for the info.. :) I hope that was a mistake.. ^^ Probably I'll call today.. :) Still thinking.. -sigh-

I just got the "Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review." message. I don't expect any kind of decision for at least a couple of days.

Where should I call to know the decision?? I just called the Engineering Admission Office, and the person who picked up the phone said that I should wait for the mail or the website to be updated. And he said that they don't give the decisions through phone call.. -__-

but you didn't ask about when to expect the decision?

To those who were accepted: How many days passed between the time your status changed to "accepted" from "Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review?"

to those who applied for junior entry at CAS, it may take longer, since it has to go through the department chair. So if you haven't heard anything, it could be a good sign. The whole process is rolling till June 1st, and they can release decisions over the phone upon request given that there is one

Thats what I heard from today's call

So the June 1st thing wasn't that crazy....a month is too much

7 days for me. It just changed yesterday.

Edit: Sorry, I misread your question. What I mean is that 7 days after I knew I was accepted, it still said "in review."

44100Hertz, are you applying as a sophomore or junior?

I didn't ask because the person was cold.. -__- Somehow he has accent too.. thinking if that's the accent for people from east coast :)

Callie, mine said it had been sent to the admissions staf like 2 weeks ago, and I got my decision like April 29th.

soccer_guy472, did they already change your application status to admitted? and did you apply as a sophomore or junior?

yeah, that's what the lady from AAP told me - that decision would be made next week (two weeks after my status changed to "for review")
so i guess that's somehow the standard duration for a decision to be made?

I can't remember when my status changed.... I think at the beginning of last week?

...and yea im applying as junior for CAS... sigh...

hehe I think I've become more and more obsessed with checking the site lol.

Yeah, my page on the check application now has a red VIEW DECISION link at the top.

I applied as a sophomore transfer.

I just got an acceptance call for ILR! But my status hasn't updated... lol.

Good luck to everyone else!

Congratulations!
