Hi. I'll have an architecture interview since I am working on transfer application to Cornell. I'd greatly appreciate if anyone who had an architecture interview give me some advice. What did interviewers ask you about? Do they ask things like how you drew your artwork? why you want to study architecture? why Cornell? Things like that? Thanks a lot in advance!

I have never gone through the interview, but my daughter went through it six years ago and got accepted. They recruit alumni in various cities to conduct the interviews and I think the questions and approach vary widely. The one in Dallas was from a retired architecture professor. My daughter said that she got a few questions about her artwork an why she wanted to be an architect, but mostly he lectured her on why sketching was more important than the paintings she was showing and about architecture in general. I don’t know the weight it carries since she was accepted despite a mediocre interview.
