Is there a difference between the biology major in CALS and College of Arts and Science?

Cornell has like 3 or 4 biology majors, each in different colleges. I think there might be some distribution differences between each major due to the college that it is in.

Thanks for the quick reply. Anyone have any other advice?

You can probably find more details about the different biology majors on each college’s website.

the biology major (called biological sciences) is in CALS and CAS. it’s the same major, with the same website and almost indistinguishable recs. the programs of study are the same, the generally required courses are the same was well. there is a very clear overview on this page of the website: [Cornell Biology :: Intro to the Major](http://www.bio.cornell.edu/academics/) note the words of the second paragraph, including “identical.”

Yes, they are the same. Its just the college requirements are diff.
Personally, I feel like the requirements for CALS is easier.
But thats just my opinion…

I’m considering transferring to CALS To avoid some requirements. Lol. I’m a bio major in CAS

thanks for the replies
