Cornell Cals Transfer With One Failing Grade

Ok, here the deal. I wasn't able to get accepted to Cornell in freshman year, however I did get a transfer guarantee to Cals ( College of agriculture and life sciences). The problem was that I got an F on my second semester of Biology honors. This was a very unfortunate mishap but I was able to retake the class and get an A. This is the only issue in my transcript.

Will Cornell Still accept me as a guaranteed transfer if I retook the class I failed in? Im planning to get into Food Industry Management and not into a bio major.

Please help me, I can barely sleep at night thinking about this.

Can someone please help me here?

i know people who have been rescinded for not keeping their grades at the GTO minimum (3.3 i believe, right?) so i would call CALS asap and ask if you can remedy that F by retaking it. good luck

Well I retook the F grade already. In my school the New grade is counted into the gpa and my gpa is now a 3.8. I have tons of EC’s related to cals and my major as well.

If you have a 3.8 you should be fine.
