Cornell CAS prompt QUESTION

Prompt:

Describe two or three of your current intellectual interests and why they are exciting to you. Why will Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences be the right environment in which to pursue your interests? (Please limit your response to 650 words.)

After describing your intellectual interests, are you supposed to refer to them when talking about why CAS?

It says "your interests" rather than "these" interests.

I think that would be wise…the whole idea is to see how and why you can best pursue your interests at Cornell and specifically CAS. Cornell seems quite interested in fit and why Cornell for each applicant. Good luck!

Well you don’t have to but it wouldn’t make sense otherwise. :stuck_out_tongue: You should use the essay to show them why CAS and preferably why they should choose you.

I discussed two of my intellectual interests in two separate paragraphs, then I concluded with a third paragraph explaining why CAS would be right for me.

So you’re saying I have to tie in my interests with the 3rd paragraph?

Yes, how you can further those interests best at CAS/Cornell
