Currently I am a junior interested in applying to Cornell. I have a 4.1 gpa and my psat score was 1400 and I’m hoping for a 1450 or better on the actual one. I’ve taken two subject tests: math 1 and Spanish, and scored a 650 in math and an 800 in Spanish. I am not a straight a student; I have gotten a few B’s in some classes. I have taken ap human geography and ap world history and got a 4 and a 5. This year I’m taking ap us history, ap physics, ap English language, and ap psychology and hope to get 4s or higher in all. I am currently in Key Club, French Honors Society, Math Honors Society, National Honors Society, and am the Vice President/co-founder of my schools Lulac Club. I have played the violin since the sixth grade but I am not the best at it and have never made any regional orchestras. Additionally, I am an editor for the school magazine. I am a few people away from being in the top ten percent of my graduating class, ranking 189 out of 1640. I am very interested in math and hope to major in it and eventually teach it. I feel like I am under qualified for applying to Cornell especially with having the one too many Bs in some classes. Also, how would all these factors fare in other schools like NYU or Chicago U?
