Cornell Class of 2017 RD Discussion

I was actually having fun by following all these posts, involved a whole process of scientific inquiry

It’s a good one! Gotta be sent to SNL Weekend Update!

still havent gotten an email about instructions for thursday. is that bad?

^means you’re in. I asked the admissions office and they told me they had an algorithm. If you got it on an odd or even minute, you were from the rejected list, so you must be on the accepted list.

^I second that…

was the email having a self destruction code. Because I can no more see it in my email. Or maybe I didn’t get the email.

If you don’t have the applyyourself code, maybe you should email the AO for it?

@Maxyend U said that if anyone doesn’t get the mail he/she is selected ???

“I asked the admissions office and they told me they had an algorithm. If you got it on an odd or even minute, you were from the rejected list, so you must be on the accepted list.”

The mail can be sent only on an odd or even minute. :P

for what???

^for receiving the email on an odd or even minute !

^no, that’s a bad sign. It’s only if you weren’t sent it on either an odd or an even minute that you’re in. I think Yanksfan is the only accepted person so far.

Guys I think there is also one thing we should be aware of. Clearly , applicants received their emails in two different time periods. One is between 8am &9am, the other is between 11am & 12am. I haven’t seen an exception in this thread by far.Does this difference possibly mean something?

Got mine at 9:48 am???

I honestly don’t think there is any rhyme or reason to these emails… It all has to do with your email and such. For northwestern, everyone tried to determine wheter a sooner email meant acceptance/rejection and it meant NOTHING.

The thing we can do is waiting till 3.28 and we’d either prove or disprove this theory

Haha wow it’s really sad to see these people posting such fake evidence and causing more stress for the people waiting for their results Thursday. By the way @Maxyend I believe you are highly incorrect for your belief that someone who didn’t receive their email on an even or odd minute is accepted. I have seen many people in the past waiting for their decisions for Cornell that received an email and still got accepted. I could actually name you off a few really^-^ So everyone just calm down and do something to take you mind of college, like watching T.V or be like me and constantly play your Playstation 3:D

LOL I like how every year, students on CC always come up with theories about decisions before the release date.

To be completely honest, I think the difference between the 8 am emails and the 11 am emails is just a difference in time zones. West coast/east coast.

Basically what I’m saying is that everyone still received the email at the same time

Yeah, obviously…

We were all talking about the same time zone.
