I got an alum interview and it made me feel really good about my application. It meant that they had put my application in the “maybe” pile instead of just ruling me out because of grades or SAT scores.

I feel like I earned my place to be holistically examined. If this is the case, I am feeling pretty good because I think I have quite a bit to offer.

@Pianostar Did you also get the likely letter? It’s weird knowing you already got accepted and having to look up the decision haha.
For those who are finding out tomorrow good luck!

Hey guys, coming into the discussion from before about email times and wanted to comment—I’m pretty sure that the odd/even thing was just a joke, especially after reading the comment about the acceptance rate making it even more absurd for automatic sorting to alternate between masses. I would think that the emailing order is randomized, but it could be related to some algorithm based on alphabetization of names, email account site or email address alphabetization, by school, or even by submission date.

that whole odds/evens thing is hysterical and the way we all pounced on the issue, analyzing and calculating, proves that any school is lucky to have any one of us. i love this enthusiasm!

Preparing to have my “Waitlist Week” continue! I’ve already gotten waitlisted from Boston University and Carnegie Mellon, so I’ve basically convinced myself that I’ll probably get waitlisted/rejected here.

@eberej @Tevatron If I get in I think I’ll try to walk on, if I don’t make it then intramural should still be fun! Good luck to you tomorrow hopefully we all magically get in!

I sent additional info on feb 18 and called admissions to make sure they got it. I heard that they don’t accept things after the 15th. Do you think they still looked at my stuff? It was an email with all of the updated info.
