Cornell Class of 2020 Early Decision Discussion

@corgis and others who want to know regarding the link they send you to check your decision: this is the verbatim copy of the email my daughter got last year on decision day. Note I omitted some things for privacy reasons. Good luck everyone. My D got accepted ED last year and is loving her experience at Cornell. Also, as I mentioned earlier, don’t open your decision at school. For a host of reasons, which I’m sure you smart kids are all aware of. Do it at home. As this email states, once you are set up and click the link, you will be taken DIRECTLY to your decision letter. Nothing else. Just the letter either accepting, deferring, or denying you. You will also get the official hard copy in the mail a few days later.

@TiggyB62 So do you think that we should expect to receive that same email on the same day decisions are available?

3 days 8 hours guys. For some reason I don’t even care anymore, I’ve come to terms that I’m getting rejected.

All of a sudden, everything relates to Cornell. Right now I am learning about Kurt Vonnegut’s writing style in AP English Lit. Oh and guess what, Kurt Vonnegut went to Cornell.

@tyronium I feel ya man, i realize my sat prob wont get me in :(((((((((((((. Plus i’m applying to AEM too it’s rough.

@vpm3660 The thing is I have nothing special about me. No awards, No olympiad shit no nothing. Plus I’m an indian male applying for CS, theres like no chance for me to get in at all.

@RSalvatierra I wouldn’t see a reason why you guys wouldn’t receive the same email as they released last year. Unless Cornell has changed their protocol (doubtful).

How how hard is it to get into the School of Engineering relative to the other schools?

I applied ED to Arts and Sciences! (new member)

I’m nervous because my ECs only vaguely relate to my major but I wrote an amazing essay :-SS

@plzacceptmee I applied to MechE too! I’m surprised there aren’t more of us

hi, does anyone know the accpetance rate for Dyson AEM ED? new member here. thanks

Soooooo. Did anyone receive an email for our decision portal? Just wondering cause Brown already sent theirs.

No it’s weird that we have yet to get an email.

I’m refreshing my inbox every few minutes. The suspense is killing me!

Don’t stress about things you can’t control…

CAS applicant here, undecided major… (Prob Econ)
It’s so hard to get Thursday off my mind!!!

How are your parents handling the situation? Are they equally as anxious as you are or are they apathetic?

Being the pessimists they are, they’re convinced I’m not getting in. :-I
