@mathguy123 look at your items that are checked off (or not checked off) at the bottom of the page it will say, “Sent for review” if it doesn’t say this, it means then they are still processing your paperwork. However, in past transfer threads, not everything needs to be checked off for review. As long as Cornell hasn’t reached out to you for missing items, then you’re good.
Does anyone have any knowledge on outcomes for people who did not meet the grade quotas? I had a lot of trouble this quarter and got a C+ in chem and bio, as well as a B- in another required class. Despite getting all As and Bs otherwise this also lowered my gpa to just below 3.
Any ideas what this could mean for me? Should I send an email to try to explain my bad quarter, which should appear as an outlier?
@321college123 tbh, i would call them and let an admissions director from your college know ASAP. Especially since i feel like the GPA is the most important thing for them. Getting below the required GPA may get your application, not necessarily rejected, but be placed with the regular transfer applicants. This, of course, is only based on what past TO’s said on past threads, so take it with a grain of salt. Goodluck though!
From what I’ve read they’ll probably put your application with the regular transfers. Even with that happening though, some GT/TO students still get in because Cornell gave you the TO/GT because you’re a great fit and they honestly want you.
Hey guys, anyone know when transfer applicants are supposed to hear back?
@mishk90 last years GT thread- Human Ecology starting hearing results on April 10 and ILRies on April 11 (the first wave)
Has anyone heard back yet?
Hey guys I am class of 2022 and received the transfer option to the ILR school. On my portal it said I should have received an email from the school I applied to within a few days of the decision ie March 28. It has been practically two weeks and I haven’t received an email from ILR. Should I be worried?
@mocktrialer5 - I had received my notification in the week following the freshman decision last year. You may want to call or email them.
Last year their email had ended up in my Junk mail folder. Luckily I caught it before it got deleted.
Does anyone know when we’ll be hearing back from CALS??
If anyone gets a response back please let us know ! Especially for CALS
Anyone in ILR heard back yet?
@luckybell - Nope
I called, they said they are going to start realesing them next week and then ever week after until may.
