First of all...
I got off the Waitlist!!! Woohoo!!!

Anyway, due to the acceptance a new dilemma surfaced.
I got accepted in both McGill and Cornell's economics program but I'm not sure which to choose from both. I know its just an undergraduate major in arts, a basis for further graduate study, but I just can't choose which to go.

Both I assume are amazing schools and both have the program that I love.
Any suggestions or tips on decision making in which school to go to?

Since this is a Cornell forum I was wondering if I could receive some info on Cornell's economics program. Anyone?

Thank you, any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Can't say anything about McGill economics... but Cornell econ is supposed to be really easy (even some econ majors acknowledge this)

Were you accepted to A&S (in which you are planning to major in econ), or CALS for AEM? If it's the latter and the only thing maintaining your dilemma is strength of individual program, you should do AEM.

Yes I was accepted to A&S in which I was planning to major in econ.
But if it is too easy, is there other political science subject that I might be able to reconsider?

matio: If finance is not an issue, go for Cornell. Cornell offers a pretty decent curriculum. If the curriculum is not decent, there won't be that many famous and successful businessmen/women that graduated from Cornell. Check out Cornell's Alumni list.

If u r gonna live in US post-college or go to US grad school I'd go for Cornell, esp if it is an option financially. and btw CONGRATS!!!! That's so great u got off the waitlist! Welcome to the family! (potentially) lol

thank you so much everyone.
Finance is luckily not really an issue so I am free to choose whichever university that I like.
Again thank you so much for everyone's feedbacks, its decision crunch time now!

cornell econ requires only 8 classes. many cornell econ majors are double majors b/c the intro econ courses complement other majors/distribution requirements so well.

I'm actually transferring to cornell this fall to the AEM major from Mcgill, so i thought i could maybe help you a bit.
my first year at mcgill was actually a lot of fun. People at mcgll are mostly really happy, party all the time.
Montreal is absolutely amazing, theres a lot to do, a ton of fun.
classes, however, are not too difficult. everything is very relaxed, you get almost no work during the semester and your finals basically count for your entire grade.
mcgill offers honors programs which are actually considered really good and challenging. an honors program is basically just more credits, and all your courses are honors level (more difficult). If you do end up going to mcgill i recommend you take this honors program in economics because its considered much better than just regular econ.
mcgill econ is not known to be an amazing program, but you can get a good degree if you follow the honors program.
but i can't really advise you on what to do since im transferring to cornell myself.
good luck with your decision!
