Cornell ED Class of 2022 Discussion Thread

^I think ure fine, dw. same for me but the general app says downloaded and my portal says it was all received so dw

Iā€™ve submitted my IDOC [early october] but my To do list is emptyā€¦ hmmā€¦

@garliccroutons did any items ever show underneath your to do list or has it remained empty the whole time?

Itā€™s been empty the whole time! Ive checked regularly since I got the login info, and nothing. Not sure if I should contact them or not .

after submitting the idocā€¦ we had a few items listed as ā€œinitiatedā€ since late october

I read somewhere that somebody submitted all their financial aid docs before their application and nothing ever showed up under the to do list. I would call them.

Has anyone applied to the architecture school?

if nothing showed up since the first day, i would email or call tbh. i think it shuld at least show up and say initiated as in u strted it and then say something else when they process it and stuff. idk what the next stage is beyond initiate

ya wait does anyoneā€™s say something other than initiated?

did anyone apply as a government major?

Any Indian student who has applied?

If yes, which major?

@Blueberrylover Yes I am! I have applied to College of Engineering for Mechanical Engineering. What about you?

I also applied to college of engineeringā€¦ For information sciences
U applied for fin aid?

I am a US Citizen currently living in Chennai, India. I have applied to college of engineering (Computer Engineering)

I am a father of accepted student last year. I followed the regular decision thread for the Class of 2021 for almost two months. The uploading of financial aid documents through IDOC was a common issue. My advice is do not be worried about this because once the applicant is accepted, whether, in the ED or RD, Cornell Financial Aid will do everything. for the accepted student to comply with the requirements through IDOC. However, during the ED stage, there are applicants already being asked to submit financial documents. The reason for this can be probably for reconsideration of the applicant in the regular decision or RD and for admission to programs that are based on financial needs. However, there are also accepted applicants in the ED without any movement of their IDOCā€¦ My advice is just relax because the decision will be announced shortly and if you are accepted, you will be given adequate time to comply with the financial aid documents that are required.

Hey guys good news! Cornell financial aid finally emailed me back and said not to worry. They have not pulled Idoc and moved the status from initiated yet.

@lrandolph thanks for telling us.

Lol this thread is going to blow up next week.

Below is the email abt IDOC:
ā€œThank you for your email. Our office has not yet started uploading FAFSA, or IDOC files for prospective applicants. This is scheduled to occur toward the end of November. As long as you received a confirmation from FAFSA, and IDOC that your application and materials were successfully submitted, your Cornell To Do list will be updated within the next 2 weeks. Your ā€œinitiatedā€ items should fall off of your To Do list at that time.ā€

Woah, ED applicant here, Iā€™m wondering where all you guys are hearing that the decisions will be out in a week or two?All over the website it says they will be released by mid-december, and after having an interview with an Alumni Ambassador she told me that the admission office would finish around the 15th, and that the decisions will be rolled out shortly after. Is it regional? Iā€™m from the US north east, but Iā€™m an out of state applicant. Sorry if Iā€™m missing something really obvious here.
