Cornell ED Class of 2023 Discussion Thread

It is customary to provide your stats first

@yllatagu, I would say you have nothing to lose by uploading supplemental info now. Certainly the AOs won’t have access to some of the alumni interview writeups until 11/30 when they are due.

Would recommend not submitting small stuff. If you’re adding it it has to be meaningful

human ec people what are ur stats?

It’s not too late to add stuff. My daughter contacted them because her counselor didn’t know how they would want Q1 grades submitted and asked her to find out, additionally she received a PLTW + AP achievement award and wanted to let them know. They responded to her email in minutes. This was Monday.

What are your stats? I am also applying to human ecology? @soulsearching129

What is left on your guys’ financial aid to do list? And how many items?

any college of engineering kids that wanna share stats?

Hey guys! I’m a fresh face that has been scrolling precariously through this chat. I’m very nervous about decisions. I applied under CALS for Environmental & Sustainability Studies.

Human Ec, from NY ACT 32, 4.8 GPA

@yllatagu The 4 items that were on the list were cleared off today and something new showed up. When I then went to Idoc to upload the new items, the idoc thing also said some schools required the student’s tax returns and those should be uploaded as well, so I also wound up uploading my daughters tax return in addition to the new items in the financial aid section. Hopefully this is now done!

Does anyone know if there is a hard deadline to submit supplemental materials? My daughter had to submit an expanded resume for another University’s honors program and decided to submit it now to Cornell. Do you think it is going to even be looked at or is the Cornell decision most likely made and the resume just going to get stuck in her file and nothing done with it and have no impact?

There wasn’t anything significantly new in it that wasn’t on her application, but some things go more into depth and there was an extra honor or two she’s earned since the common app was submitted.

Any other vets or active duty out there who applied ED?

@kermitthebandit ye i’m a veterinarian

My financil to-do list says " No current to do item information found. " Is it empty now? How many items do you guys have left in your list?

It shows exactly the same like yours “No current to do item information found”. ^^

Are you international students? Most of the applicants (from outside the US) that I have spoken to also can’t see anything on the To-Do list.
