Does anyone know what day Cornell will be releasing acceptances for Early Decision for Class of 2023?
General consensus is 12/10.
Do you know if the financial aid office sends emails if your file is not complete? Or, do we need to look in a portal? Do they look at FA before admissions decisions are made?
Thank you!
wow guys the time is coming up!
you guys think if we submit something like a supplemental essay now, they’d read it? might be crapshoot but it can’t possibly hurt us to do so right? even if they see it and don’t want to read it
What don’t you like about the essays you already submitted? Did you read the college’s mission statement and craft you answers accordingly?
@collegeparent789 You need to login to the financial aid page and see what is missing. Additionally if you login to the CSS profile and look at the IDOC site it may also tell you what is missing. In our case, the IDOC list said we needed my daughter’s 1040, but Cornell’s site didn’t list that. Then a few days later, Cornell’s site said we needed the W2 for her, but the CSS/Idoc site shows nothing is missing. It is frustrating, but you need to be on the ball. Only when your financial aid to do list is empty is everything supposedly complete. You should look often though, because every time I think ours is complete, something else seems to show up!
I think the financial aid comes with your decisions per the following link https://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/candidates-common-ivy-league-admission-procedure.
Here’s another link about the financial aid process if your application is complete or not complete if you’re accepted and what to do https://finaid.cornell.edu/apply-aid/newly-admitted-students
I can’t find it now, but I thought I recall once reading if accepted you have 2 (or 3, I can’t remember) weeks to accept the decision from Cornell.
Wishing everyone the best of luck!
Is it normal that my “check application status” shows a blank
Do you think they’ve made decisions by now?
My noncustodial parent tax form is still initiated. Thoughts?
Mine said initiated too. However after I fixed the error and resubmitted my information I got an email saying that my financial aid materials had been submitted
