which engineering school is the easiest to get into...?

don't say apply to the one u like most, because right now, it's pretty much a tie, and i'm an average applicant, so i'd like to know which one i'm most likely to get into

Penn SEAS.

Cornell SEAS is a top ranked engineering program. Columbia SEAS is somewhat further down (at least in terms of engineering ..), followed by Penn. At least that's the way I see it.

Joey

thanks, so penn seas is the easiest to get into??? i did a little more research cornell seas acceptance seems unusually high at 38%! what's up with that? and columbia seas takes 50% of it's ed applicants

Just out of curiousity, why are you only considering Cornell, Penn, and Columbia? I could see Cornell, but the other two have nothing particularly enticing to offer as far a engineering goes, unless you really want to say you went to an Ivy league school.

you want cornell because it offers the best engineering program of the ivies. cornell will want you next year because...of me :)

Consider this. Only the most serious individuals apply to Cornell engineering, since it has a reputation for being brutal.

Yet I know many not-so-strong prospective engineers that applied to Penn, even ED.

Not so sure what to say about Columbia, other than that I think it's SEAS is better than Penn's.

Joey

haha, gh0st if only i were that optimistic... but ohnoes... columbia has a very good engineering program based more on theory than cornell does (pure mathematics) and penn is a choice because my sister goes there, and i would like to stay close to home, but a good engineering program

also, there are no truly spectacular engineering programs other than these three in the general area... jhu is in the mix too, and no i'm not a prestige whore going for the ivies, i'm just limited by my choices... because i WANT to stay near jersey... that said, mit was my dream school and i won't apply cuz i can't get in

everyone has a chance at MIT, just some's chances is smaller than others. my chance at MIT would be like 1/c><) thats suppose to be the infinity sign but im sure other's is much higher

HAHA, yea... but remember gh0st, our stats are remarkably similar... 1470 sat to a 1490... among other gay stuff... haha, but yea... maybe i can get in

but youll want to go to cornell. ill be lonely there in such a conservative place (i never thought politics would cross my mind while thinking about college)

um... i am very conservative... haha, an asian conservative, imagine tht... but still BUMP

bump bump bump bump BUMP*

plz??? maybe?

i only got one true answer from jprencipe... plz a couple more responses?
