Cornell Engineering difficulty? Sophomore

How tough of a schedule is this? (Note Fall Semester 2014)

CS 2800 Discrete Structures 3.00 Graded
CS 3110 Data Struct & Functional Progr 4.00 Graded
MATH 2940 Linear Algebra for Engineers 4.00 Graded
PHYS 2213 Physics II: Electromagnetism 4.00 Graded

Huh… you did 2110 early? Didn’t do CS but… I think what you’re really asking for is how hard CS 3110 is (and I have no clue)

The other three classes are the normal structure. You’re substituting the 2110 “weeding” class with a higher level class. Students without AP credit/placements might have to take a liberal arts class in this semester as well.

As a current freshmen, I honestly don’t have too much idea about the rigor of those classes. But I was wondering if you could tell me a little about freshmen year for you? How difficult was it?

2110 was fairly easy, I don’t even see how it is a weed out. 3110 is actually a really difficult class, but your schedule is so manageable I wouldn’t worry too much about the workload.

@BigRed2018 - Freshman year was actually not too bad. But I only got a 3.4 GPA so I can’t really talk.
I could have gotten a 3.7+ honestly if I just studied every day and went to all my classes. My CS classes I can’t really say since I have a lot of experience. I had friends who were doing their first time CS and they did very well, so don’t count out.

@Lelyke - Thanks. I’ll take your word.
