Cornell Essay

Hi

I know that it is ok to add a creative edge to the main essay, but what about the smaller supplement essays, like the one asking about intellectual interests, their evolution, and why they are exciting to you? I mean, in 300 words you can't get too much creativity. Would it be best if I were straightforward and serious, highlighting exactly what I find interesting or less specific and more creative?

How did others do it?
Thanks for your replies!

I thought the supplement essays were 500 words too...

Yeah they're 500 words.
Be more specific and less creative.

i'm wondering the same thing as the OP...any more opinions??
