So everything is checked off for me except the mid-term report but it does say that: “Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review” so can I assume that everything is received but my check list of materials wasen’t updated?
@CornellGirl908 same here but I’m sure everything will be fine. (Also my midterm grades weren’t too great since nothing has really been graded yet so it would be great if they lost it haha). Since it’s rolling admissions it could really be whenever I think.
@Dyang525 Send them a brief email regarding your concern about your application materials not being checked off. I’m almost certain that they will tell you they are still updating as that is what they told me this morning. I know it can be stressful, but give it another week.
I’d love to, but it costs almost $30 to send something overseas as an international applicant…I guess I should first contact them by email as @thehoff007 suggested.
@Dyang525 Hi! I am in the same situation. I had sent my final hs transcript in months ago but it is still marked as missing. I called yesterday and she gave me the same excuse that it is still updating
@Dyang525@aabbccddz I am also sending my HS Transcript from Thailand, however, mine was sent around a month ago and is already checked off the list. I had my school sent mine electronically via email to undergradapp@cornell.edu. The hard copy may take longer time to match up though (and this is why i think yours are still not checked off). You guys can call and ask them directly since the officers are really nice. You could also ask them if you can submit another one online just to be sure (always ask them first since I’ve read that sending double copies may cause further delays). I am also sure that, by the beginning of April, Cornell will be sending out emails to those who are missing their materials. Just keep checking your portal. Don’t worry too much and good luck!
@Dyang525@aabbccddz also, according to Cornell’s website, “Note to transfer applicants: when mailing materials to Cornell, please write “Transfer Application” on the mailing envelope.” Did you guys make sure with the schools to include that on your mailing envelope? If not, you can mention it to the officers when calling them and ask if that could be the cause of your transcript being delayed or lost.
If I sent my midterm report March 13th, when is a good time to call them and inquire if it hasn’t been checked yet? Because I don’t know Cornell’s processing time in regards to application requirements.
@Boroboro Mine hasn’t been checked off either but they received everything else and my Mid-term was not checked off yet as well. I don’t know what is going on since I sent both these out awhile ago and all of my other University’s that I am applying to has received them. I hope it doesn’t affect my application decision!
@idekidc@cbabbinoNYU Cornell states that it should take them 2-3 weeks to update the materials. If it has been over 3 weeks then you could call and ask them if you want to. However, I would say that you guys do not have to worry too much. Like the comments above, there are people whose materials took over a month to update. I am guessing it is because they are receiving a largeeeee number of applicants haha. My midterm report and college transcripts are still not checked off too
