Hey guys,

I was wondering how a Cornell(CS or CS+Finance Dual/Double Major) would play out in getting into wall street banks/equity firms. My dad worked at Goldman and Blackstone if that would help(I don't know much about family connections or whatever)

Thanks

It definitely won’t hurt. If you’re serious about getting onto Wall Street, though, you should join student investment organizations and ask the seniors in those clubs what you should be doing to put yourself in a good position for internships. I would also seriously question whether you really want to be an investment banking analyst. I interned in investment banking for two summers and, quite frankly, it was terrible.
