Cornell Hotel SChool vs. Purdue Hospitality program

Well, the title says it all. Purdue is consistently ranked number one on some rankings, so...what do you think? Thanks.

I thought Cornell was top program around the world? I'm not sure but it might rank high in its division vs. ivy!

Yeah I wonder the same thing, but I only think that Cornell is an ivy and its prestige can get jobs easily after graduation. I don't really mind where I go but Cornell and Purdue and my top choices. I want to go to Switzerland for my masters :P

yeah, but considering the cost. it's a HUGE difference. so i'm wondering. =]

true true. so for you its like big costs are: cornell, nyu, bu.

purdue i think you will be able to get a scholarship since you probably have better academics than me.

I always hear Cornell as #1 in the world so that's strange. I would see what the costs are as well as where you feel the most comfortable. The Cornell program is amazing...

Yeha, I totally love the Cornell program a LOOOOTTT. And Indiana just sound...well...Indiana. hahah. And it's majority is conservative, from Indiana. LIke, I LOVE cornell, but if tuition is more than $25, 000 I'll need to take out loans, and I probably won't qualify for Fin. Aid. And I honestly think I have a small shot at maybe a scholarship at Purdue, and either way, the tuition is less than $25, 000 anyways. So....that's why. In debt...a lot with cornell (IF i even do get in) or Pudue, debt free?

tuition at cornell's Hotel School is appx 45k...

Definitely Cornell's Hotel School

I think Cornell's school has been around the longest. As a result it probably has the most extensive alum network in the industry. Something to consider since that will likely be a factor in recruiting and placement. That plus the fact that it's an Ivy is an added bonus.

Tuition at Cornell is not $45k.

lol ok 30k...but i meant if he cant afford a 25k tuition...he's not going to afford the total cost per year of 45k...

Ask this question when you have the actual financial figures...for now it's just a matter of fit. GL getting into both and I hope you get a lot from Cornell and come! :)

tuition is one thing. room and board is another.

if only the tuiton was cut down to low 40's would be nice.. i think we should get free suits @ the hotel as our dorm rooms but that would be no fun :P
