for consulting do people only apply for HR consulting jobs?

those stats aren't monitored (mostly because they're useless)

Thanks guys

Well what other kind of consulting job would Ilr prepare you for?

Once again, to refer to ILR Undergraduate Admissions: What Graduates Do
9.7% of working ILR '06 grads did HR consulting, and 6% did other business consulting. So yes, you can do consulting from a variety of educational backgrounds, but ILR grads either self-select or are deemed exceptionally qualified for HR consulting.

Thanks Rendeli, it's good to hear that ILR grads seem to have their choice in fields. Just by curiosity are you a Cornell student from Cambridge, or are you in Cambridge now? I'm from a neighboring town.

I graduated from ILR in '07 and am now a first-year PhD in Cambridge =)

oh nice, enjoy the boston/cambridge area. I went to high school in cambridge, I've grown up in the area, and I love it so much. There's so much to offer that I as a life long citizen haven't experienced yet. Oh, and good luck with the PhD program.

Thanks =) Yeah, Boston and Cambridge are awesome
