Hey guys so a little about my career aspirations. I'm very into the biomedical area (prosthetic body parts that sort of stuff). Cornell seems like the perfect school for me as in terms of location, rigour and just the social life. However, they don't offer biomedical engineering as a major, only a minor. They due offer bioengineering which is pretty different, and I'm not really interested in that stuff. I'm also interested in biomedical engineering because there's a 60/40 chance I will decide to go to med school instead :P. So I want to keep that road open!

I started looking at the College of Human Ecology at Cornell and I'm pretty interested. The two majors I'm looking at are Biology and Society vs. Human Biology, Health and Society. I saw that Biology and Society concentrates on healthcare and etc., so I crossed that off. For Human Biology, Health and Society (HBHS), does it focus on the biomedical area? I know it prepares students well for MCAT's and medical school, but I'm scared I might decide not to go to medschool/won't qualify. What other jobs can HBHS lead me to? Can I get a masters in Biomedical Engineering after majoring in HBHS? If not, what if i minored in biomedical engineering while majoring in HBHS, could I be eligible for biomedical engineering grad school?

Thanks!! With my current stats, there's a very iffy chance I might get into Cornell RD. If I do ED i've been told my chances are pretty high, so I need to find out these questions for sure before I make any regretful decisions! :P
