Cornell MEng in ECE. In a great dilemma. Please give me some advice/suggestions.

Hello,

I got admission in Cornell MEng program under the ECE department. I also got admission in University of Southern California. I am not sure what to do!

Cornell was my dream school ! But I have to borrow about 55K as loan to bear the expenses. I am not sure whether I should go for it or not. As far I know, Cornell graduates get excellent job placement opportunity and I guess Cornell tag will help me a lot. But the only thing which is bothering me is the amount I have to borrow.

I don't have any college loan. Though I am a US resident, I completed my undergraduate from outside US. Please share some info about Cornell MEng program. I did plenty of online research but I didn't meet with too many Cornell graduates or students and their thoughts about Cornell should get maximum priority.

Thanks in advance.

So what did USC propose?
So can you afford a $55K loan? (see amortization tables)
Can you afford not going to Gschool?
Will Gschool get you to your goals?
Will Gschool give you any more knowledge that you couldn’t get from working?

Wake up. At your age and experience, you shouldn’t be dreaming.
