Hello,

I got admission in Cornell MEng and USC MS program. It will be great if the seniors share some information/suggestions so that I can take the right decision.

I didn't get any funding. As far I know, it is possible to get TA in Cornell though the professors like Cornell undergraduate. Eventually I have to take federal loans to fund my masters.

The thing is, I am confused- should I spend 41K tuition for Cornell MEng or go to USC which is somewhat cheaper than Cornell. The location of USC is also great but the reputation of Cornell-MEng is unparalleled in the nation which is hard to through away.

I am thinking about another fact and I badly want some insight about this from seniors. I don't have any internship or work experience. If I go to Cornell, then I won't get the opportunity to do an internship before graduation. I heard that it acts as a disadvantage and it'll be hard to get a job after graduation. But I will get the internship opportunity if I go to USC. So, does it matter a lot for Cornell graduates? As far I know, the placement scenario of Cornell is awesome and many students get job offers just after their first semester (though MEng is two semester program).
I also came to know that, the starting salary for Cornell MEng graduates are pretty high comparing to others. Is that right ?

Sorry for long message. I will be glad to get some expert advice/suggestions.
