Cornell not using the SAT score choice??

I read this on a information packet from Cornell.. that they don't use the Collegeboard's SAT score choice option.

So far, I've taken the SAT Reasoning Test three times. I have taken four subject tests, and I've taken every test twice except for Japanese.

Did I retake too much? How much will this affect someone's chance of admission?

Is there no way to hide one of your scores??
Does it mean I HAVE to report all of them on my application, or I can just write the two or three best ones and they'll see my other ones anyway but won't care too much about it?

you have to report all scores

…so for clarification: if i took a test twice, I list both scores??

And if my scores didnt go up a lot, or worst case scenario, went down about 20 points, would that hurt my admission chance?/

yea you list both scores
i dun think it would depending on which sections went up/down

They only look at your best scores.

Granted, whether they see all of your scores or not, I don’t know. That means that they might see even your bad ones, and it could raise some flags if there are terrible ones, even if they’re supposed to ignore them.

My lowest score on any of them was 650 and 670. Are these terrible enough?

not at all

My lowest was a 640. Lowest ACT was 28 and and 29. I got accepted.

If I submit my subject tests, will they see my SAT score? I have a 33 ACT but my SAT is way worse than that.

yeah if you submit your subject tests they’ll see your sat I too, unless you do score choice, but cornell isn’t doing that apparently.

dont worry if they see a bad score though, unless its like 1200/2400 or something.

I got a 2000 on my SAT. Do you think they will weigh that in with my ACT?
And should I retake a 33?

2000 is fine, so is 33. you do NOT need perfect scores to get in…

The average admitted Cornell student has 2110 SAT and the average enrolled Cornell student has 2080. A score of 2000 would place you in the 34% percentile, making you less competitive than the average admitted student.

Wow, Cornell isn’t using the score choice option? I thought every college/university would be forced to comply.

most aren’t using it

yes reptil, but his 33 act should outweigh that. and i’m assuming a 33 is around a 2200?
