My child is starting Cornell in the fall. We have family health insurance coverage which covers everything at home (in a neighboring state) and emergency/urgent care while at school. We dont believe we should have to pay any additional premium But their requirements to qualify for a waiver are very specific. For example, they seem to require that a specific hospital be in-network even for non-emergency care.
Does anyone have experience with this issue. How strict are they? Is the requirement more reasonable than it appears?
