Cornell, UCF, and UF

Hi- I'm a Mexican-American girl from rural Florida, and Cornell (ILR) is my number one choice. I'm also applying to the University of Central Florida and the University of Florida.
I'm a senior, and I'd appreciate your help!
My SAT is 2050 (730 CR, 620 M, 700 W.)
My GPA is 3.8 UW, 4.22 W.
I am in the top ten percent in my class. Just below the top five.
There are only three AP classes at my school; I took AP English Language and US History last year, and got 5s on each. I'm taking English Lit this year, as well as self-studying for AP Psychology.

When I graduate I will have 4 math credits, 7 English credits (AP Lang is two credits, and I took two honors English electives), 6 social studies, and 4 science credits. My recomendations from should be great, especially from my APUSH teacher.

My ECs are a little weak- I was in marching band for two years, before the program more or less fell apart. Last year I was an assistant editor of the first edition of the literary magazine, and this year I am the editor-in-chief. I'm also on the Academic Team, in NHS, and FBLA. I'm worried that not being consistently active in any particular club will hurt me.

Any help is appreciated!

You should bring up your math SAT and then work on an angle in your essays. There is a frequent poster on CC (gomestar) who is in ILR and knows the admissions process there so you should send him a private message.

Cornell (IRL) ED would give you a great shot! And remember, cost is not an issue at Cornell because they meet your need and if they don't you can deny their offer.

I think you should definetly apply to UF. You have a very good chance of getting in.
