Why do you think you were rejected?:
I don’t think my app stood out in any way (good or bad). With Cornell being so much about fit, I don’t think that admissions could really tell that I wanted to go.
General Comments/Congratulations/etc: I would be mad if I didn’t get because of:

Most Rigorous Curriculum. I didn’t take all AP’s, frankly because I have no interest in “Environmental Science” and the like.
Class Rank. I don’t have an official class rank, and my counselor gave me a low one. It probably should be like top 3%.
Email address. It is a reference to a different school that I applied to (and that I will most likely attend).

I’m a little suprised.
I guess thats what you get with a 3.4 UW (Most difficult classes)
but a 2290, 34, 770, 800…

I stayed on the waitlist for the heck of it because I haven’t matriculated anywhere. But i’m liking WashU a lot.

ECs: Plenty of State/Regional Orchestras+2 Youth Orchestras, Tons of volunteer hours, 2 Officer positions, and research at the Cleveland Clinic.

Junior year: 5 APBIO, APCALCBC, APUSGOV

And my GPA and Rank dramatically rose…I’m now right on the 5% class rank now.
(For second semester with an even harder course load)

oh well! its certainly disappointing but i haven’t given up yet.
