So I was wondering, would I be able to apply to Cornell Undergraduate without subject tests, and be at a disadvantaged? It is too late now to take a subject test, and I didn’t realize that Cornell required subject tests. I was planning to apply to the Arts and Science Department majoring in philosophy so I figured that the subject tests would not help me in anyway. I am not looking to be called “irresponsible” because I already know that, and currently I am just wondering would I be able to still apply, but be at a disadvantage. Thank you.
Sat subject tests are not required in the program you mentioned. Cornell is highly selective and if I were an admissions officer I’d like to see you kill the literature test given your stated ambition. Still at this time, you can only do what is possible. Go forth and be victorious.
Are you sure that is right? https://admissions.cornell.edu/standardized-testing-requirements
They are required, and it’ll probably tough getting in without them, maybe clos4 to zero. I’d actually consider applying to another school within Cornell and see if you can transfer to A&S.
