<p>That is only half of the equation (arguably the less important half). The key question is: are you hiring as many (or fewer) people than you were a year ago? I'd be surprised if that number has gone up.</p>
<p>That are currently 400,000 CVs of IBankers floating around the United Arab Emirates. Most of those are coming from Wall Street and London IBankers. 400,000 in a country with a population of 2,000,000. It would be great if IBanks were hiring, but they aren't. The reason you are seeing an increase in applications is because there have been many layoffs.</p>
