I love Cornell's nutriton and food science programs but I love the small liberal arts school that Colby is. I am scared that Cornell will be cut throat and that I'll get lost in the crowd. Any advice?

check the Colby thread! Lots of info there. Just to say, you will NEVER be lost in the crowd at Colby, and it’s one of the friendliest campuses ever–no joke, not hype, for real!

Both great choices. Cornell can seem overwhelming at first, but most people seem to adjust fairly quickly. They meet friends in dorms, in class, in ECs, in Greek life, whatever, and that makes the place seem smaller. Also, it’s important to note that even after 4 years, it will never seem TOO small. Some people find LACs get a little confining after a few years. That may not be true for you, but it’s something to consider.
It’s very tough to beat the nutrition and food sciences (and many related courses) at Cornell. Does Colby even have anything similar?
FWIW, DS1 who went to Cornell also really liked Colby when we visited. The food is very good there (as it is at Cornell) and the people in the cafeteria were so friendly. I am not a fan of Waterville, ME, though…kind of makes Ithaca look like Paris.
