<p>Academically both will be equal, but these are such different schools socially that the choice should be pretty clear based on "social" fit alone.</p>

<p>The only real edge that I can possibly think of would be Cornell's huge bio department if you were planning on being a bio major. The biology discipline is spread across two different schools (CAS and CALS) and there are more classes than you could ever take and countless resources and research opportunities available. </p>
<p>Other than this, the schools are the same academically but have vastly different social scenes. Pick the one you like the best and run with it. If you want extra info on the social scene at Cornell, just ask, or at Columbia ask Slipper1234 as he's a Columbia alum.</p>
