I need input.

I'm trying to choose between Cornell and Northwestern. At Cornell, I would be studying in the Department of Communication, which is in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (yes, you read that correctly). At Northwestern, I would be a Communication Studies major in the School of Communication. At this point, I want to go into law school afterward.

I love both campuses, in very different ways. Input?

Northwestern and Cornell are fairly similar schools, and in a lot of respects, Cornell can feel like a Big 10 school.

The Communication program at Cornell is fairly distinct from the Communication offerings at Northwestern. Cornell is focused more on theory and human interaction (it is really more of an applied psychology dept), whereas Northwestern is focused more on media studies and the like. Although, I don’t suppose this matters much for law school.

Otherwise, if you are into nature/being outdoors, I would suggest Cornell. If you are into being in a big city, I would suggest Northwestern. Likewise, if you like hockey, Cornell is the place to be.

I chose Cornell over Northwestern back in the day, but it really comes down to personal preference.
