Which school is better for Engineering?

Overall, what ACADEMIC advantages does Cornell have over UChicago.

Note, I'm not talking about aspects of student life - that's inherently subjective. I want to know which provides an objectively better education in specific areas.

Thanks

Cornell’s engineering program is better than that of UChicago- I think it’s ranked in the top ten in the US (#1 in the ivy league), whereas UChicago is known to focus on liberal arts (read as beat you over the head with Nietzsche), and is really a school for graduate students. For example, UChicago forces you to take a two year ‘core’- look it up online- before really pursuing your major. So you have to know what you want when enrolling. Cornell is much more flexible in terms of course selection, and you get to dabble in a variety of fields.
