Cornell vs Vanderbilt?

Aside from Engineering, what does Cornell do better than Vanderbilt?

Thanks

Everything! Cornell is a stronger research university almost across the board besides Medicine in which these two schools are tied. Vanderbilt also has a world-renowned Education program (Peabody) so its superior in that area.

I would decide based on fit at the undergraduate level since both of these schools are very good.

I got into both Cornell and Vanderbilt, but I picked Cornell because its business programs are superior (I got into AEM) and it has more recruiting connections. I also want to work in NYC or somewhere in the northeast, and Cornell tends to be better known up here. If you want to work in the south, like in Nashville or anywhere in Texas, or in Atlanta, etc, Vanderbilt is very renowned down there and people will be familiar with it.

S1 is a rising Jr at Cornell AEM and S2 is a rising Soph at Vandy Engineering. Feel free to ask specific questions.

I’m echoing much of what Lauren said.

I’m a rising sophomore pursuing a career in entrepreneurship and I chose Cornell ILR over Vandy econ.

Where do you want to live after college? Half of cornell alumni (legit statistic) are in the New York area while Vandy’s network is more southern.
